Parts Purchaser

Medallion Energy Services is a growing industrial electrical & instrumentation company in northern Alberta. We strive to ensure we provide the top experience, quality, safety and timely services to our clients. We are currently looking for a Parts Purchaser to join our team. You need to live or have accommodations in and/or around the Grande Prairie area. We will provide an excellent benefits package and wages to the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities:

under the direction of the President, the Parts Purchaser is responsible for the daily purchasing of job material, billing, inventory, project planning, shop organization, and walk in parts sales.

Detailed Job Responsibilities:

  • negotiate and financially substantiate favorable pricing with vendors
  • report on the efficiency value of vendor relationships
  • foster new vendor accommodations to gain efficiencies in the department
  • explore and report competitive pricing options for any inventory buy
  • report and explain to President weekly on any inventory adjustments
  • monitor inventory levels
  • report on inventory efficiencies
  • report on inventory discrepancies
  • purchase inventory
  • analyze and report margin change to President providing reasons
  • ensure proper management of storerooms
  • manage inventory within Quickbooks
  • design and maintain field ordering process
  • create PO’s for all orders in Quickbooks
  • ensure bill pricing is correct
  • verify WO’s for payment
  • manage walk-in parts sales
  • ensure shop is cleaned and organized via the warehouse assistant
  • price job material takeoffs for bids
  • price scope change orders
  • analyzing information and evaluating results to strategic information for the operations manager
  • create an inventory system that is user-friendly for all medallion personnel
  • maintain an inventory system that is user-friendly for all medallion personnel
  • update an inventory system that is user-friendly for all medallion personnel
  • coach and develop others within the department
  • coach and train other medallion employees on the inventory system
  • keep the President fully informed on all aspects of the supply chain department. reporting methodology as requested by the operations manager.
  • complete expense sheet monthly and submit to accounts department
  • Ensure shop is locked up afterhours, etc.

Qualifications:

  • experience in team management an asset
  • Experience in Electrical and Instrumentation an asset
  • experience in procurement
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook.
  • good customer relations skills
  • experience in Quickbooks inventory
  • experience in reporting
  • five years of experience preferred

Outside Sales Representative

Outside Sales Representative Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the owner, the Outside Sales Representative is responsible for building market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.

Job Duties:

  • Identifies opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential customers, discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders
  • Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating customer needs and goals.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
